Deliciously Violent Movies

There is a difference between gore from horrors and sheer raw, graphic violence! The latter has nothing to do with scaring you, nothing to do with sending shivers down your spine but quite the opposite. ONE makes your heart beat faster the other makes your heart stop! Cold, clean and crisp VIOLENCE. Violence delivered naked, up close and personal that you gasp in shock! Especially when they writers spring one on you,thats the best violence. The type you do not expect to happen or expect to be shown! Wham Bam thank you Ma'am!

Now when they say violence on the movie screen has adverse effects perhaps this is what they are reffering to off late.

1. Shooter



I kept thinking about you Movie Buff. This is a good movie with some serious sniper action that will leave you astounded. Cold blooded killing...yes! yes! yes!

"I am the Senator of the United States" says the senator...to which he is silenced close range.

2. Apocalypto




Why no one spread the word on this movie I will never know. Some of those scenes were just wrong. Fighting with a jaguar!? A spear impaling you through and through...people being beheaded...talk about a little ejaculatory joy of violence.

3. 300



Nothing like choreographed violence with spurts of slow-motion!!!! OH YESSS!!!!

4. History of Violence



I think this is the first movie I've ever seen with such open violence. Damn! Up close and personal...this movie had nothing to hide...not to mention that sex scene with Viggo and Mario Bello was as real as real gets. What a ride..I'm not talking bout the sex but the movie...that too!

5. Children of Men.



It was a tad slow... a tad boring on the futuristic aspect...but they way Julian oore get shot. Note since she is a big star you don't expect her to die so soon. WHAM! The sound was spectacular as well and near the end some fighting and shooting scene leaves your mouth open and dry.

6. 24.


Season 5 episode 1: The death of David Palmer. I did not see that coming...let me rephrase...I still don't believe the killed Palmer like that. Barely 2 minutes into the season premier...direct shot to the neck. I couldn't belive my eyes. How? Why? Seriously are you allowed to kill a major character? In fact I was wondering where the hell they get off doing that!

Season 6 episode 4:Death of Curtis. Cold blooded..again a direct shot to the neck. BRUTAL! If you want to get rid of a character there are gentle ways of doin it than that. Look at Curtis above...look at that neck..wait for it....

24: Season 6, Episode 1-4

After a long day's work...or rather after being hustled/brow beaten and treated like a child in School..there was nothing more ecstatic than coming home to the latest 24..which none of you has watched except Patron Saint of Downloads.

Yes, my dear Couch Tato fans I have absolute BRAGGIN RIGHTS!

Considering am still high on episode 1...I will not say 24 is the cestest drama out there...but I will declare that it has the MOST SUSPENSE compared to all the shows out there. This show is too intense for its own good..and I LOVE IT LOVE IT! Not a second wasted!

Set 2years from season 5...stuff has started unfolding...I can't go on without revealing spoilers...but WAYNE PALMER is President. Be grateful that's the only spoiler I have unleashed...I have gathered my strength...and the adrenaline is now back to normal levels and now going in for episode 2. GOOD TIMES! GOOD TIMES!(Movie Buff 2005)

24 Season 5:1-6

Ms K and Kenyanmusings each wanted a dildo for Christmas I suggest they get Season 5 of 24! Wow wowie you won’t see Palmers assassination coming! (Bet you did not see that spoiler coming either!) Damn-that’s the stuff good TV is made out of! In a world where almost every TV idea has been exhausted from Medical dramas to Legal dramas to Police dramas, this is an area that remains fresh and totally dominated by 24.

I have watched loads and loads of TV and honestly nothing compares to 24. No series has the intense suspense packed into it like 24 does. No series has every single episode as gripping as the last or better. IT gets better and better as it progresses without ever letting go. Your heart beats rapidly , blood pressure rises, pupils dilate, breathing becomes difficult…I keep saying if you are on heart medication-you are better off smoking and eating cholesterol laden meat…but stay clear off of 24.

I’m I saying it’s the best drama out there? Maybe. You can’t beat HBO’s drama’s like Rome/Oz/Wire/Soprano’s…even Lost holds it’s own and sometimes Alias comes close. But 24 is on a sweet league of its own from its uniqueness in style to its fast pace heck to its ring tones. Not to mention I’m always there “The following takes place between 9:00 am and 10:00 am” of course in season one I’d add “...on the day of the Carlifornia Presidential Primary!” I used to enter movie chat rooms on Yahoo with this line “My name is Jack Bauer and today is the longest day of my life!” and it would work wonders.

Time strapped that show wastes no time with character building you just get straight to the point. Terrorists are on the loose…we have only one day let’s get to it. Rarely do you have mushy mushy scenes. Just when you think you have things figured out the story turns and keeps turning. Alias is fast paced but the story line remains the same, unlike here where one thing leads to another and yet another. However, in season 5 it really has a different twist…not to mention the have really woven a nice story explaining how Jack returns.

Best thing on TV I will say. Totally addictive! Fantastic and Perfect! If you have never watched it, then you must not have any sense or friends in your life to influence you into such a couch tato worthwhile lesson.

After season 5, they are making 24 the Movie. As eager as I am, I’m a bit skeptical and actually worried that a movie could be the only thing that destroys the series. Honestly they should stick to T.V…but we shall be there and here to review it!
